Political dialog in America is a sick joke.  Only Ron Paul ever talks about issues and can’t move in Washington without continual snickering behind his back.  He is seen as a joke, a caricature, a anachronism, part of the “lunatic fringe” of “conspiracy theory” folks.  Paul, of course, totally charisma free and with the leadership ability of a cantaloupe, is the only one talking about the issues, albeit in a waffling “left handed” manner. 

He knows very well that he is politically hopeless unless he packages himself for the Israeli lobby, an effort that would require him to reverse every stand he has ever taken.  Expect him to do just that, everone else has.

Wait for it, his statements on 9/11 alone show him to be morally flexible enough to succeed.  He could be “Obama 2″ or even “Bush 3.”

Arianna Huffington says she has found her “last act”. The Greek-born Cambridge graduate, author, broadcaster, politician’s wife, Republican turned Democrat, would-be governor of California and now internetmogul has thrown her lot in with a global media goliath.

The co-founder of the online news phenomenon the Huffington Post has announced she is selling the business to AOL, tarnished net giant of the last dotcom boom.

The deal is worth $315m (£195m) – all but $15m of it in cash. Not a bad return for Huffington and her business partner, Kenneth Lerer, who will share the money with investors. The pair set up the left-leaning news site in 2005 with an original investment of $1m.

Phony CIA Asset Al Quada Threatens Goldman Sachs and Wall Street Bankers

Are the people on Wall Street trying to get public sympathy saying Al Qaeda in Yemen has it sights set on the Wall Street Bankers and Goldman Sachs? I am not for any act of terrorism on US soil. I rather see the people of Goldman Sachs and the other movers and shakers of Wall Street get arrested to face trials. People are angry at Wall Street and Goldman Sachs for what they did to the US economy and the stealing the worlds wealth.

The Atlantic Wire – Security officials are briefing Wall Street executives about threats to them and their institutions from al Qaeda terrorists in Yemen, NBC New York reports. The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and NYPD officials are apparently concerned that “the names of some top banking executives have been discussed by terror operatives overseas” and “that operatives in Yemen may again try to send package bombs or biological or chemical agents through the mail to Wall Street bankers.” Alerted banks include Goldman Sachs, Citibank, JP Morgan Chase, and Barclays.

To say Al Qaeda is threatening the Wall Street Robber Baron means they are trying to silence dissent of the people making everyone suspect. That means the man or woman who had their pension stolen by the Wall Street hustlers might be considered to be with Osama Been Dead Awhile if they are enraged that all they worked for all their lives is gone.

In the fall of 2008, during the lead up to the TARP bailout of the financial industry, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson warned members of Congress that there will beMartial Law in America should they fail to pass the multi-trillion dollar looting of the taxpayer.

Well, despite the American public being overwhelmingly against the bailout, the blackmail worked and the banks got their money. If it worked once, why not try it again?

With the economy no better off for having borrowed trillions to "stabilize" criminal financial institutions, the national debt ceiling is rapidly approaching.  As some Republicans begin to float the notion of blocking this extension of credit, the Treasury Department, Democrats in Congress, and Ben Bernanke issued apocalyptic warnings clearly showing how pathetically fragile the U.S. economy is.

These threats, reminiscent of Paulson's 2008 ransom demands, once again appear to be offering two black-and-white choices: Armageddon or more debt.  The coordinated pitch for higher debt levels is echoing the same urgency as the TARP looting, as Treasury Secretary Geithner said the government is insolvent and will run out of money in about two months' time unless Congress votes to raise the federal debt ceiling.

The AFP reported Thursday that Senate Democrats warned that the government would "shut down" if the debt ceiling was not raised.  Chuck Schumer (D-NY) explained what that would mean if a shutdown were to occur: "citizens couldn't get their checks, veterans couldn't get their benefits, military payments would stop."

Homeland Security Rampage: Seizes Websites for Merely LINKING to Copyrighted Material

Apparently the Department of Homeland Security is now authorized to rewrite and enforce copyright infringement laws. In a stunning precedent, the recent round of domain seizures to shut down websites that allowed illegal streaming of the Super Bowl, also included a few other websites that were seized simply for linking to infringing content.

Mike Masnick of TechDirt, who received and published a DHS seizure affidavit, had this to say in a must-read article:

…the affidavit itself is chock full of legal and technical errors, compounded by assertions-as-facts that seem to have little basis in reality. This is immensely troubling, especially given that the specific legal issues here are hardly settled law, and Homeland Security seems to be acting as if these cases are no brainers, allowing them to flat out seize domains, even when those websites have been declared perfectly legal in their home countries.

The biggest problem is that Homeland Security seems to suggest — without a hint of doubt — that merely linking to infringing content is criminal copyright infringement. That is a huge stretch. The affidavit appears to make it clear that it believes that these sites are guilty of direct criminal copyright infringement, rather than any sort of contributory copyright infringement.As we’ve discussed in the past, the courts have tended to say that embedding and linking can be contributory infringement, but not direct infringement. Homeland Security and ICE may be in for a bit of legal trouble trying to prove that embedding is direct infringement.

Until these unprecedented seizures, online copyright infringement was dealt with by simply asking infringing websites to remove the material and replace it with a link to the source. Previous cases have normally been battled out in civil court. Alternative news giant, Matt Drudge, is currently fighting a seemingly ridiculous civil lawsuit over linking to news stories.

American Warships Heading to Egypt ... Apparently To Keep All Options Open

Connecticut's newspaper The Day noted on January 24th:

Connecticut National Guard Detachment 2, Company I, 185th Aviation Regiment of Groton has mobilized and will deploy to the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt, to support the Multinational Force and Observers.

The unit left Connecticut Jan. 15 for Fort Benning, Ga., for further training and validation. The unit operates C-23C Sherpa aircraft and has deployed three times in the last seven years in support of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The unit will provide an on-demand aviation asset to the Multinational Force and Observers commander to support its mission of supervising the security provisions of the Egypt/ Israel Peace Treaty.

Yesterday, the Los Angeles Times reported:

The Pentagon is moving U.S. warships and other military assets to make sure it is prepared in case evacuation of U.S. citizens from Egypt becomes necessary, officials said Friday.

The Kearsarge, an amphibious assault ship carrying 700 to 800 troops from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and the Ponce have arrived in the Red Sea, putting them off Egypt’s shores in case the situation worsens.

Pentagon officials emphasized that military intervention in Egypt was not being contemplated and that the warships were being moved only for contingency purposes in case evacuations became necessary.

In addition to the Marines, the Kearsarge normally carries around four dozen helicopters and harrier jets that would permit evacuations and other humanitarian operations, the officials said. More than 1,000 Marines from the Kearsarge were sent to Afghanistan last month on a temporary deployment, leaving roughly one-third still aboard, officials said.

The Kearsarge is an attack vessel.

All Ambassadors Called Back to Washington! Smells Like War is on the Grill

In an unprecedented move, apparently one that has never happened before, nearly all U.S. Ambassadors to all nations have been called back to Washington for a summit conference this week.

politico.com reports, “Ambassadors from almost all 260 U.S. embassies, consulates and other posts in more than 180 countries are expected to convene at the State Department for what’s being billed as the first meeting of its kind.”

huffingtonpost.com, “Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is convening an unprecedented mass meeting of U.S. ambassadors.”


The first logical thought that comes to mind…

Looking back at all previous world crisis, what might now be so important, evidently more-so than anything ever in the past, to call all Ambassadors back to Washington?

While the main stream and most Americans are involved with the SuperBowl at the moment, hardly any reporting on the event can be found. Fine time to do something ‘under the radar’.

Could this actually be simply a ‘first time’ of such a gathering to discuss ‘normal’ business? At first instinct, suspicion is aroused.

Former President George “W” Bush has been forced to cancel a highly paid speaking engagement to an Israeli group in Switzerland.  Bush was going to be arrested as a war criminal.  He is now fighting extradition.  This will not be reported in any American mainstream media.

Wikileaks, an organization many say exposes American hypocrisy while serving Israel’s global ambitions, a hypothesis well supported by even a cursory examination of the carefully chosen material “leaked” to date, has had one quite positive result worldwide.  Human rights activists around the world have been vindicated and government after government is prepared to use the legal process to lash out at the remnants of America’s unilateralist policies during the Bush administration.

Bush, whose two term presidency saw a virtual takeover of most US government functions, both domestic and foreign, by Israeli interests, now faces imprisonment largely because of Wikileaks, an organization said to be directly controlled by Israeli intelligence.

Psychological warfare and disinformation are not perfect sciences.  This may be the biggest “Wiki-backfire” yet.

MANY AMERICANS WHO TRAVEL UNDER THREAT

Americans abroad are seldom subject to legal scrutiny.  That, however, seems to have changed.  Now it seems, only Israelis will enjoy the privilege that has allowed acts like Israel’s piracy attack on the Freedom Flotilla to go unpunished.  Now, however, with the chilling of relations between the US and Israel, more Americans are likely to be subjected to laws demanding accountability for their parts in governmental crimes, even though they were involved in a private capacity.

Popular Conspiracy Forum Vanishes Amidst Its Owner Being Threatened and Stalked Leaving Its Members Scrambling

The popular conspiracy forum Godlikeproductions has vanished leaving only some cryptic messages for anyone visiting the gutted forum.

The site boasted a huge following with several million page views per day. If this was not the biggest conspiracy forum on the internet, it was very close.

There have been two messages posted on the empty conspiracy domain, the first of which has now been deleted and replaced.

The first message read;

"at what point does the personal sacrifice become too great? 

when you put the life of my friends and family at risk. 

I will not allow this website to cause my friends and family to live in fear 

you won 

hope you are happy 

the last light of the world has been extinguished "

Later, that message was replaced with a new message with a link to an MP3 file titled Goodbye.mp3. The new message reads;
